Few Questions

Hey guys,
got the old girl back together and have a issues that hopefully you can help me with:

check engine light is coming on at random.

Vacum according to the boost gauge is not sitting at 20 like it used to. Swings up to 10 and even 0?

Getting sort of a backfire sound in the inlet manifold?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Check to see if all the bolts are tight to the inlet manifold to the head, also check the throttle body is bolted tight on the inlet

I noticed a prob on my mates car yesterday, the throttle body had old gasket maker between the gasket and the throttle body, which didnt let it sit flat against the intake manifold

sounds like you have an inlet valve not seating or a jammed egr valve if it has one...

Sorry for my ignorance but what is egr valve?

Also i have 2 lines on the top of my ex gate, where do they plumb into?
