Cars are devaluing faster and faster. It's not trendy to own an "almost new" car nowadays, so second hand cars aren't worth shit.

whats killed the turbo car prices , is that there is not meant to be any p-platers allowed to drive them anymore , as the market is totally changed
you couldnt buy a VL turbo for under $10k before , now I see them all the time for around $2-3k and there not selling, even just check skylines on the carsales theres millions for sale from $5 to $10k

its not just turbo cars. anything modified/imported is labelled a hoon car.. and most people cbf'd dealing with all the bs that has been going on over the last year with police/epa/vicroads.
personally, i think the modified/import car scene in victoria is dead. it's gotten to the point that i cannot go out to the shops without having to worry about getting pulled over and reamed.
having said that, someone buy my car. its cheap!

herses an example evo 9s came out around 65k +ORC
about 5 years on now u can pick them up for around 35k.. massive lost!
buyers market tho.
