Hey everyone I've been thinking about going E85 but currently im running an early microtech lt8. I don't have the money for a haltech ps1000 atm so im wondering is there a way i can get a eflex switch and run E85 with the current lt8 system until i can save up for the haletch swith ? Thanks in advance

unfortunately they are not a switch they are a digital pulse type signal telling the %of ethanol. they don't simply tell the ecu hey i'm running e85 or hey im running 98. they tell the ecu hey you have this much ethanol content to account for when looking at your target afr's.

you might MIGHT be able to dual map it or add an offset table triggered by a toggle switch that you engage but you must be VERY carefull to ensure your e content is within acceptable limits dual mapping is quite common with the evo x's so that's certainly doable.

i'd get one of these

then look into seeing if you can set up an enrich table based on the 0-5v signal from that. (because you won't simply be able to run the sensor itself like you would with a ps or other flex ready ecu)
or using that and a number of tunes on a small laptop to run a tune according to e content.

with the price of them atm i would be saving my penies and looking into a PS1000 the hard work is mostly already done for 2k you have a current model ecu and flex. i think even elite 1500's are only $1800
