hey..so been looking for a lightened flywheel...exedy dont do it for my engine hg galant... its na....i found someone to machine it for $75 but i was wondering what specsi'll need like how much to machine it down to ect...

they make lightened fly wheels for the N/A galants or us N/A+T's out there.. you just have to know where to look.... and they also cost a kidney at times as they dont sell as much...

it was either AC Delco or PHC VALEO

that made a kit that had lightened flywheel and 6puk spring loaded clucth kit..... around 1K+ marker...

Thanx jayrome. U have been such a good help with like everything :p I already have clutch. Think I'll just get a flywheel from a wrecker and get it machined. Any idea how much I could machine off safely to lighten it.
Also I got the Evo 8 muffler and organizing 2" mandrel bent pipe. Am I going 2.25 or 2.5" cat

its what 4GT is here for!

um i wouldnt go shaving alot off the flywheel it self, i would much rather get someone to neutral balance it (for stock flywheel) as its not really a big thing shredding the weight off the stock flywheel cause its built thick for a reason....

your exhaust will sound good with the EVO 8 muffler (but considering the amount of flow the n/a gives out, the secondary flap in the muff might never open..), just in the back of alot of cars you may need to tilt it a lil to fit cause of the side entry style muffler it is.. with the 2Lt dohc engiens you can go up to 2.25" piping the entire way with matching cat (2" to 2.5" cats usually share the same housing but in/out pipe change diam)..

I'll just go the 2" pipe coz it's not the vr4 so don't get top end so no point sacrificing bottom end :) and I'll get the machinist to clean up the flywheel :) thanks heaps. Get back to me on the extractors too yeah :)

actually shove VR4 turbo cams in your n/a and it will open up the top end more.. and there should be some floating around rusting in someones garage..

ill have to come have a look at your car first for extractor fitment...

yep the VR4 cams "should" be here somewhere, but I'm pretty sure you took them!

lol i'm pritty sure someone gave me these ones.....

um search for how to change cams on http://www.vfaq.com/
