I need an evo 8 transfer case......however if they are the same???? maybe an e7 or e9 will do.

it was stuffed when i bought it.........but crap they are hard to get out when your only on stands.
-remove both drive shafts and brakes on front
-get a slide hammer and remove a little shaft from the passengers side of the gear box.
-remove front and rear engine mount bolts and drop the front to rear mount cross member
-undo the bolts holding the k frame in and lower it
-then swear and grunt at getting it out
it was first time for me on one of these...and last I hope, i will spew if the box is stuffed as well.
second hand the transfer cases seem to start at 1300.00 for ones that"whine" to 2000.00 for imports. fark!!!
