Just to confirm, is it the rear crossmember that has cracked like in this pic? (usually cracks in GSR's etc)

just had another look under the car and its both that are cracked.

so i need a diff mount and rear cross member...

Historically for stuff like this is if you cant find or buy anything at forum prices, you go to a wrecker. If the wreckers dont have them you go to Mitsubishi, but only after you sell a few body organs first then brace yourself lol.

CVAP wants $400 but best to ask the forums first obviously because there's people out there who may have these things left over and taking up space who would rather sell for chicken feed to get rid of them (lol @ parts in backyard, under the house, in garage etc wwaiting next council clean up day). When you add interstate freight on top for these big parts it can get rather costly.

Makes you look back at posts where people sell entire disc to disc rear ends for $50, AWD conversion parts including floorpan for $500 and go shit! why couldnt that be NOW! lol... Still helping him search locally to save on freight.
