If my mate gets the roll cage finished in his VR4 in time, I might be able to coax him to have a crack. Is this the former Maryborough Street Sprint/ Wheels on wide bay event?
Hi Rob .Yas it is the old WOWB event and has another club taking over the running of the event.
It is still at the Maryborough showgrounds but have heard that they may have changed the course a little.
Entries closed yesterday but it can't hurt to try for a late entry. Roll cages not needed.

Yeh, I know you don't need a cage but we dropped the car off to the roll cage guy last weekend so it's underway at present. Even if we did get the entry in, I don't think there would be time to get the car ready anyway
Just went to the servo and was driving home taking it easy ,took off at the stop sign ,changed into 2nd and wtf is that clack clack noise ??. Bugger broken gearbox.Am racing against time to replace it with an RX7 turbo box.I have a bell and x member but the ext housing will have to be shortened & the drive shaft fitted with a new yoke.
I guess that one should be thankfull that it happened before the event rather than breaking after having done a 3-4 hour tow and breaking when it came off the trailer.

hey the starion looked good on the weekend hopfully il have the cb back for the next sprints,but hey if you need another box at any stage i have a s6 turbo box in the shed i dont have much use for i had it pulled down and checked over then re-assembled was builing an anglia but never finished it.
I may be interested but would need to check as to weather it is the same as the 5 turbo box. Please pm me your mobile no so we can discuss.
Yes it was a good event and getting 3rd in the 3-4 litre registered class was a bonus
Had a bit of trouble on the 1st 2 runs getting 5th instead of 3rd but no probs after that but on the last run on a flier ( had the biggest chirp from the rears over the yump after turn 2 ) then the throttle came party dislodged but still managed a 52 second time.
The reason I was having probs on the early runs is that this is the first event with the RX7 series 5 box as it feels totally different as the stick is shorter and a bit further away.
My info is that the 6 box is not suitable as the imput shaft is longer than the 4/5 box and would most likely need a spiggot bearing in the crank instead if the f/wheel
yeah i wouldnt no ? i did talk to a mate from mazfix he has a s6 box behind his 12a but not sure how its set up.
Don't forget that it is bolted to a 54 bell then to the 4G63 motor so it depends how far the imput extends past the box with no bell attached that governs as to will it fits my application.
