hey guys,

when you do you front bearings are you just swapping your bearings out or are you swapping out the whole hub assembly?

it seems my bearings are gone on both sides as I can move my wheel around a lot I don't think its normal..

cheers

G'day You need to press the old bearings out.pity you are in Perth I would help.
I have one set of OEM mitsubishi front bearings and seals for sale.

I picked up a on hub puller from cashies a while back for around $25. Was happy about that. Its earned its keep too.
Might have to swing pas one day to borrow it :)

Ive done it with just a press and no other special tools. Will be doing a set tomorrow...if you want to see what is involved

that is tempting Brian, but I don't know if I can make it. but what time do you think you would be doing this?

serious question but it is dumb haha

are the ce lancer front bearings the same as the evo 4 5 6 bearings? trying to find a set online but keep seeing different things

Is your castle nut not taking the slack up properly, either bottoming out or jamming. Something else is wrong if the front wheels wobble about. That is beyond worn bearings
nut and shaft out I can move the hub left right and up and down

Are you running 5 stud setup? And later model knuckles??
If so.. here you go. Easiest method...

yeh evo 4 LCA and 4 or 5 knuckle

I thought of that but wheel bearings would of been cheaper. but this way would be far easier haha

yeah cant say 100% that the nut was completely tight but from memory it was tight as I could get it. which I normally have the wheels back down by then and tighten it up with a breaker bar

ordered new hub assembly, getting to the point of putting them in soon, does anyone know if they bolts need to be torqued up or just done up with some Loctite??

or a workshop manual or link to one so I can find out

cheers
