I have part numbers, and a place to get them.
But I have never done one myself, all my cars have needed new front bearings, and sick of paying the earth to have them done.

Can a commoner like myself do this? I have a reasonable idea about mechanics.
From the seems of it, I would need to replace the oil seals as well? (can also attain these easily)

help

Hey I hate to tell you this Dan....

but the SSG's don't have normal bearings. I would get this checked before you go jumping in. 95-96 SSG's had an enclosed Bearing that can't be replaced. You may be one of the lucky few with the changeable bearing type, but I would get someone to check it first.
Pretty sure ULS33 on evocrew found this out the hard way, and having seen a parts lookup system in Autobarn, and looked at the RVR's, it shows the same info.

That's really interesting.
ASA doesn't show anything in regards to that.
And I went straight off my chassis number search.

hmm, bugger, more research needed.

I have done the front bearings on my Chariot GT.

The think of doing it myself again make say "F__K That".
But then I never had all the tools to make the job easy.
