1986 Mitsubishi Cordia AB (VR4 Motor)
Hi all, up for sale is my 1986 AB Mitsubishi Cordia GSR with VR4 Motor. This has been a long term project car with almost every item replaced.
The car was registered with the FRONTN Victorian plates (Plates do not come with the car).
The car ran out of rego on April 16 2012. Can arrange re-registration within 3 months.
The car had been tuned by Dalton Automtive for a safe first tune at 16psi producing 167fwkw.
Power steering, power mirrors, no A/C
Chassis KMs: ~ 200,XXX
Motor kms: Purchased from importer at approx 70k kms (180,XXX) and have driven approx 20k kms (200,XXX)
Engine bay:
• JDM VR4 4G63T motor
• Evo 7RS Turbo on custom steampipe exhaust manifold
• 3” Exhaust with custom dump pipe, hi-flow cat and Jasma muffler (Nice low note)
• 600 x 300 x 75 intercooler with 2” – 2.5” custom piping, Evo 6.5 BOV
• 560cc Evo 8 Injectors
• Custom oil cooler and lines
• Freshly powder coated rockers cover in candy red (Painted by Reflective Powdercoat)
• Microtech LT8S ECU with Hand controller
• NA Galant GSR intake manifold
• Twin 12” slimline fans
• Silicone hoses and joiners
• Grumbly strut brace
• VR4 Clutch master cylinder
• Hyper RVR Brake master cylinder
• Galant GSR brake booster
Exterior:
• It was resprayed in 2009 in 2K Mazda Chaste white
• Darkest legal tint
• Custom Evo 123 type bonnet
• Custom rear middle brake light
Interior:
• Nice AC Cordia seats
• Momo Jet steering wheel and carbon gear knob
• EL dials
• Alarm/Central locking (Aftermarket)
• Power steering, power mirrors, power windows,
• No Air conditioning
• No stereo gear
Driveline:
• Custom organic heavy duty clutch (centre sprung) < 10k kms
• Evo 2 front Calipers with RDA slotted rotors and bendix pads
• Drum to disc conversion using Magna TP callipers with RDA slotted rotors and bendix pads
• Lowered on King Springs all round with Ultima shocks
• 17 x7 white BuddyClub P1’s with 215/40/17 tyres (2 x good thread, 2 x close to indicators).
Car is in overall good condition and requires minor cosmetic attention:
• Boot floor
• Rear stone tray has dent (Will come with a replacement in primer)
• Nose cone and grill has cracks (Will come with replacements in primer)
• Comes with about 1L of Mazda Chaste White paint
• Minor wiring issues – horn, rear demisters, rear wipers
• Valve cover gasket requires replacing as leaking some oil
• Turbo oil return line requires attention – I have new gaskets and will attend to when I have time.
I have not run this car down the quarter mile with current engine setup but this car was previous featured in http://www.fullboost.com.au and previous owner ran a flat 13 with its previous engine setup.
Car drives very well with no known issues.
