The time has come to sell my galant. after many hard earned dollar, blood, sweat, and a few tears.

It probably has more i just can't remember at the moment.

~now for the issues~
a) the motor wont start, possible issues could be
1 - bent valves
2 - piston rings
3 - spun bearin

b) there is no roof lining or front sun visors
c) the shocks need rebuilding
d) the air con has been removed (some see this as a positive)


I know what the car is worth, and I know how much I want for it. at this stage I don't want to be seperating parts. I'm asking for offers around $5000.
 
Huge list of mods; it's well worth the asking price with that taken into consideration. Pity it's so hard to sell a car with a crippled engine. You couldn't fix it and sell it? I'm sure you would get a better return or reduce your losses...

Dude, after all the hard work and setbacks youv'e had with this car, what happpenned now that's causing it not to start?

It was running fine last week wasn't it?
 
it was running fine on sunday night, started it monday morning it was running like a pig and then it went clunk and stopped.
 
yeh, i think so, you ask yourself when do you stop pouring everything you earn into and go back to enjoying driving something
 
thanks lorrie, there may still be a bright side to all of this, if the damage is piston related i may be able to claim under warranty. and if it is belt related I may be able to claim that under warranty. will keep all posted, at this stage still for sale though.
 
Mate youve come this far !..lock it in the garage for a while and forget it, you'll surely eventually get another if you sell, can understand where your at though, u havent had the best run.
 
i really don't think i will get another one. i'm loving driving what i'm driving now and don't miss it. plus i don't have a garage, or the space to store it
