The Mitsubishi part number for a E38A/E39A VR4 water pump kit is MD997417; this water pump kit is shared only with the D22A (fwd Eclipse 2 litre turbo), the D27A (awd eclipse 2 litre turbo), and E35A (1989-90 Galant with 4G67 motor).

So I guess only people with a VR4 should buy this water pump.... Pity! If it had fitted my Evo 3 I might have bought it. The Mitsubishi part number for an Evo 3 water pump kit is MD972050 (which is shared with just about all RVR's)
