How will it compare to chopping top off stock and re welding the bottom. I've been looking into it actually last few weeks

this actually reduces the side to side and up and down throw of the gear shift, not just shortening the gear stick itself....

1. Technically used - I had it in my car for about a day until I ended up finding my other short shifter in my garage so took it straight back out
2. It didn't come with any fitting instructions but if you've taken your shifter out before, its a pretty straight forward swap, should only take 30mins max even for noobs
3. I can put it in an express satchel bag, probably $10

How does it shorten side to side and up and down. In just trying to picture how it works. I like this kinda stuff. Doesn't it still need to move the cables the same distance still.

I believe the CE lancers use a different shifter....

shifter is sold pending payment for now
