Hi, is anyone able to help me on a fuel pump part no for the following car? I found a link on here to a likely looking site, but don't know what my frame number would be. I bought a FPE249 Fuelmiser but it was wrong. Year: 1998 Built: 08/97
Model: Lancer Wagon GLXi
Make: Mitsubishi
Engine Type: 4G93 1.8L

Umm, would that work for an intank pump? I haven't got much mechanical knowledge and I'll be getting a mechanic to do it. Thanks again

I have never bought a whole frame. I have only changed the pump in the frame.

Afaik the pump you bought will fit your pump frame. The mitsi have a fairly generic pump across the range.
Your mechanic should have seen that when he pulled your pump out.

Some of the other guys will confirm fitment. But I think you are trying to put a ce sedan pump in a ce wagon?
So it should be similar to putting a evo4-6 pump in a cc?

Hang on. If I stuff around and find the info you should have included I find a fpe249 suits mazda nissan and toyota. It does have the required 38mm diameter. And its a bare pump with no frame.
A mitsi runs a fpe#### (cant remember) and I cant find what the difference is. (Maybe the plug on top?)

CE Wagon is still a CC shape wagon though. Its the CB5W chassis I believe.
Any of the Mitsubishi CC Lancer fuel pumps should fit it:
* 1.8 GLXi Lancer coupe, sedan or wagon.
* 1.8T CC GSR Lancer Turbo
* EVO I-III Lancer
* Walbro GSS342 (under $200)

OR, the factory OEM replacement fuel pump comes as a kit with a new cradle and the part number is MB845357... but you'll have rocks in your head if you are going to pay over $600 for that.
Just get another fuel pump from a GLXi etc.

I might even have a spare fuel pump here from a GLXi/ GSR Lancer somewhere that you can have for free. I'll test it first and grab the part number off it if it doesnt work.
I'll have to double check and get back to you tomorrow.

I don't understand the topic... is he after the pump or the cradle??

Pumps are all the same between EVO1-9, CC/CE... cradles are different

Thanks for all that. Yeah Jack of all, that was my ad. Now you know I'm a girl, ha. I am after a pump which is different from the sedan or coupe I'm told but I can't track down a part number. The mechanic wants me to find it as he's a mobile one man band and prefers not to go to too much trouble. No choice there, live in the sticks. The parts site I went to asked for a frame number for the whole car, can't work that one out, but will check the number you gave evo-00x. I've had a fuel pump put in once before since the car was new, this is the second but a mechanic got the last one. I really like the car its been good to me and want to keep it going if I can.

You own a Lancer wagon, the pump is the same as a 1993-1995 CC Lancer GLXi Sedan/coupe, I replaced 1 in my old Lancer wagon

Here's one I have here in a cradle from a GLXi Im sure of it.
There is no part number on the fuel pump which probably explains why they come as a kit from Mitsubishi.
Ive got this here if you want it for free. Just PM me your address and I'll mail it to you.
