Fuelmaster

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

I often ask myself the question- if these $20-$30 gadgets are actually so good, then why wouldnt car manufacturers use them?

Just a (semi) clever bit of marketing if you ask me

yeh as dre said, its BS. If they even provided a 1% in fuel efficiency all car manufacturers would have these in their cars.

There was an article in the last edition of wheels (or similar) about these 'fuel savers'; basically it said theyre all BS

hey hey hey, didnt one actually work???
i thought it was actually that one, that showed an increase in consumption??
well one of em did

There was one that worked, but cost $350 didnt it?

Dont think that kind of thing would ever work, remember fuel goes through your injectors to get into the inlet.

I feel sorry for anyone that is uneducated enough to believe the bullshit on that ebay ad.
eg.
If you use high octane fuel to improve engine performance and reduce "pinging", once FuelMaster is installed use regular octane unless otherwise specified by vehicle manufacturer.
WOW, it magically increases the octane rating of fuel .

Unlike additives which must be used over and over, just a one-time installation of FuelMaster will keep the engine and fuel injectors clean for the life of your vehicle.
WOW, it magically add detergents or something to the fuel to keep your injectors spick and span .

Quick, everyone go to Jaycar and buy some ferrite cores and zip tie them around your fuel lines. I wonder if that product comes with some stickers to give you an extra 400 horsepower as well once they are applied to your car?

Yes I'm a sarcastic and pessimistic old prick! :D

LOL

I think I remember old Peter Brock got caught up with some gimmickry a while back that kinda brought about his drop from fame that supposabley aligned the molecules with the rising moon in Saturn

Does this help answer any questions?

To avoid engine stall due to "slugs" of water in the fuel lines interrupting fuel flow, the fuel must exist as a single phase. The fraction of water that an ethanol-gasoline fuel can contain without phase separation increases with the percentage of ethanol.[29]. This shows, for example, that E30 can have up to about 2% water. If there is more than about 71% ethanol, the remainder can be any proportion of water or gasoline and phase separation will not occur. However, the fuel mileage declines with increased water content. The increased solubility of water with higher ethanol content permits E30 and hydrated ethanol to be put in the same tank since any combination of them always results in a single phase. Somewhat less water is tolerated at lower temperatures. For E10 it is about 0.5% v/v at 70 F and decreases to about 0.23% v/v at -30 F.
