okay i have a tad problem..

i have completed installation of the LSD i had customized to fit my FWD Galant box. went to install it today and noticed that my drive shaft splines are to short and dont lock into the diff...

does anyone know and off what car that has longer cv input shaft splines? VR4 maybe?

stock approx 65mm long, i'm needing around the 75-80mm long for the drivers side, passenger side needs around 10mm more length

i'll try a CV joint place tomorow and see if they have anything.

this is a Mitsu LSD but i have no idea what car is came out of....

I have Magna shafts in my galant box, were ever so slightly longer and work fine.
I'll see if I can get you a measurement tomorrow.
 
any updates for me guys? would love to know lengths of VR4 and Cordia shafts if anyone has it...

if they are the same as the evo 123 with front lsd the cv cup is longer (i think) they might fit???

Cordia shafts allow approximately 63mm before the taper and the vr4 2 piece shaft allows approx 55mm.

cool cool but i dont have a 2 piece shaft available atm soo normal cv joints will have to do atm....

i have also found what the shaft looks like... and this should be very interesting to find..

its identical to the EVO1-3 drivers side Viscous drive shaft stub
