Honestly, all you would probably want to do is put some decent cooler pipes on it, as there is only standard modified to suit hybrid cooler. Thats about it. (and personally aftermarket ecu, to make the most of it)

I built the car up originally with forgies, and a heap of work and Haltec, made 291kw atw and 830nm of torque, but then i bought a GSR, put that motor and Haltec into the GSR, and put the motor thats listed and chippable ecu to match, into the vr4 with intentions of still keeping it.

However, finances have just took a hard hit and the only option was to sell 1 of my cars. So i posted a realistic price of what would sell quickly with minimum fuss.

If i had the cash and space i'd keep it but alas thats not an option. So as i said my loss is your gain.

Sean

Possibly considering keeping it now, needs a fine tune but is really nice to drive, might use it for my daily and keep the GSR cooped up for serious action. UMM and AHHHIN still.

Sean

So have you decided what you are doing with this .... selling or keeping it ?

omg your spoiler fell off!

engine parts and reco $2000 plus

i initially was going to get this. i went and put deposit on it. after further inspection it was more a little more work than i was willing take on..
but anyone with abit more spare time and money than me would love this car.. sean can tell you all ups and downs just 2 save big trips up n down the coast :)
if i had abit more cash flow i would definatley consider again.. good luck anyways

so its not a bargain?
what work is needed?
this add doesnt mention any specific work required.

All it needs is some battery terminals, a battery, a decent chip or tune (has a meek chip in it, and SAFC), a plug on the thermostat fixing, some rego, some proper cooler pipes and thats about it really.

I just don't have the time, space or money to have it sitting around.

Sean.

Oh and it hunts at idle which is just a vacuum leak somewhere, which i'll probably have found soon enough.

and couple more minor things... :D i will help him out just incase he has forgotten.
has the brakes been fixed sean? also how did u go with the car dieing at 5000rpm in first? also the aws? also i thought the idle problem was related to the aftermarket cams? bov? hmm.... i think people want every detail...
thanks andy

Car dying in first is the map thats in the computer tune (which i told you this already. Furthermore it's just one miss and then continues to rev past 5gs anyways), has standard BOV on it now and brakes was just the non return valve between the the intake and brake booster.

And also i took all these little things into consideration when putting a price on it. How can you expect to get an Immaculate, perfect running, modified vr4 for $4500, whats that about $3500-4000 cheaper than what it would fetch with it all sorted.

Hell the Motor, Gearbox and 4 bolt rear end are worth that much alone. Not to mention, bonnet, bar, grill.

Here's a question, whose got or can get a 4 bolt rear end? And what are they worth? $1500-2000 would you say?

Would've thought that someone would appreciate the chance to get a car with this much gear and potential for this price.

I don't have the time to work on 2 cars at the moment and need the cash to get my lancer back up and running again.

Sean

Can you please update us on what is still to be done re the list of issues previously mentioned ? Just so a potential buyer knows what they're up for ....

Thanks.

Hey Sean

I've been trying to catch up with you since last year, you saw my car along the freeway near Kembla Grange with some "slight" rear end damage.

Very tidy car you have there, At that price, I'm quite tempted myself.. :D

Cheers
Dave
