Ok guys, I'm now reading that the Garrett GT30 turbos may or may not have an oil restrictor already built into the core.

For those of you running Garrett BB turbos, are you running a restrictor in the oil feed line or not?

Yes. My -4AN oil feed from the head goes to the restrictor. The restrictor then screws into the Garrett's BB centre cartridge.
I chose the smaller one of the two pictured = the one on the right with the 1mm diameter hole on the oil feed side of the restrictor.
Dont go any thinner than 1mm.

have a look into the oil feed hole Shayne, you should see it. double check but im sure it would be in yours

I don't have a restrictor inline mine is in the housing, below the thread line of the oil feed.

so i just hook up a hose from the head to the oil feed. admittedly oil pressure from the head is less than 2 psi @ 4000 rpm considering there is little to no back pressure

I'm assuming the restrictor isn't huge. but I bet if that drain hose came off i'd have a substantial puddle under the car.
