Hi there, I never had any luck getting the intake gasket for my DASH motor as well, if I pulled my manifold off then I was just going to make it from gasket paper which I had done in the past for the throttle body base. Have you had the motor long or driven it before? I still have my DASH motor as it was great for horsepower when I ran it 10yrs ago but I could never tune out a big flat spot with my aftermarket ECU Even when I changed the throttle body. Also too my motor loved the petrol, the more I threw in ,the faster it went. In an old school 1980 Lancer hatch it would do a 13.8 1/4 mile at 100mph/160km/h , but around the streets it was 18L/100km. But of course I ran all the the valves all the time because mine rattled too much on the 2500rpm engagement of the big valves.

Unfortunately the DASH 12V sohc motors use 8 intake ports , but the same 4 exhaust ports as a 8 valve motor. also from memory the small valve is a smaller valve guide than the exhaust and large intake valve. Here are some pics I took about 12 yr ago, sorry about the poor quality, 2nd Gen digital camera 800k pixel, from 1998. the pics were from my rear wheel drive setup with a dash head on a starion block so I could have a wide bolt up gearbox and big clutch in my 1980 lancer hatchback.

hey mate I bought this van off gumtree about a month ago old owner told me that he couldn't get it to start after overheating and getting head redone. After much investigating the ECU was wired totally wrong so I fixed that ( after 5 trips to microtech due to shit burnt out but I must say what a great business fixed it for me NO CHARGE ) once ecu fixed still wont start so I did a comp test on her #1 = 0 #2 = 0 #3 = 0 #4 = 110 psi found the problem so I removed the head like old owner said rebuilt head new gasket not even dirty so I take it that I have a comp ring problem so the block is out sent to BG engines waiting on a reply to see what has to be done. I'm thinking forged crank, forged rods, billet pistons, fully balanced and try to crack some mad HP out of a single cam any way see how it goes and no I haven't driven yet
