G'Day all, my name is Ben and I'm an addict, :lol: I own a 98 lancer CE GLXi, I have recently started modding it by putting keyless entry/alarm, stereo, splits, amp and sub. I took the old 4G93 out and replaced it with a less leaky one with a

working gearbox, but all this is boring. I bought a 4G63T out of an evo 3 with forged internals last week and will set about assembling it, all new bearing, pistons and rings, all machined and ready to lego/MacGyver together (yes, I used

MacGyver as a doing word) all other bits are standard (turbo intake etc) which is ok because I will probably run the standard box for a bit and hope my brain/foot control works hehehe.

I have 17x7 Osaka RS5 wheels fitted to it which look quite good (big lip). I need to chase up an ECU and am looking at sourcing an EPROM version from a standard Evo 3 if one can be found but am happy for ANY advice to be thrown my way

regarding ECU and gearbox/clutch/flywheel.

I see you have the CE model lancer. Did you know that the 4G63T from the CC Evo 3 will not go into that model lancer? (major significant changes and $$$ to do it!)
It even runs a different gearbox and wont bolt to that either....

You would of been better off going for an Evo 4-6 engine for that model car.
Alternately look for a CC lancer Gsr and chuck in the Evo3 engine!

Thanks for the welcome Dane, I just realised I didn't mention that it was a CE wagon :lol: I have a CC coupe as a parts car and have transferred the engine from the CC to the CE with no probs, the wagon has the engine the same direction as the CC.
I'm fairly sure the evo 3 will fit it.

Gday mate. Wow i was in the progress of doing the conversion but gave up. Yes the CE wagon is the same orientation engine as the CC except the ignition barrel is from a ce a few little other things. Pretty much you just have a Lancer CC Wagon series 2 as i used to say. If you have any qustions give us a bell . ( i completed a 4g93p conversion into my wagon and gave up on turbo ) There is a manual on how to do this cant remember where on the forum but its there to help ( IE tools required, wiring diagrams etc ) everything you need to complete the conversion.

Thanks for the info and replies, I think there will be some money making it's way into the "swear jar" no matter which way i go about this HAHAHAHA
I have found a cb gsr non-turbo and an m21 coupe at my local wreckers, so I might be able to pull some parts, mostly eyeing off the front rotors and calipers from the m21, but being so new to this would there be any drivetrain bits that would work from the CB like gearbox etc?
