HI Guys,

I finnaly found 2 cars that i want. Just need to narrow it down to one, one is a genuine evo 3 with standard mods, euast filter etc. the other is a gsr converted with a vr4 engine , which has been built ground up, tne block and geatbox and everything is in good nick.

Where i run into problem is I sold my 6.5 for a 3 but this gsr is so mint.
Would the evo have a better resell value than the GSR ?
Would you go wit the more reliable gsr and spend no more ?
Would future buyers be turned away from the Mods on the GSR ?
THe 3 has a cult following but might need work later on as things get old.

any help would be good cause im confused.

PS cant tell the cars as both are well known cars and I dont want a biast view.

Personally I would go the evo3 IF READ IF it was "GENUINE" evo3!

Or just go the gsr with conversion because it would be tweaked i would assume?

EVO is a much more better shell due to the extra strengthening in the chassis it has etc.. has better steering geometry and all that...

that aside..

really doesnt matter what you chose... a JDM will always be worth more i think cos they are soo rare to find.. but then again a well mod'd and looked after GSR would be worth abit too.

id go for the Evo III, simply for the fact of it being a genuine, un-fucked-with car.
as im sure you're aware, sometimes when people modify things, short cuts get taken...
i'd think that the Evo would hold its value better than a modded up GSR aswell...

I personally prefer to start with a clean slate. That's why I paid an assload for a stock vr4 over a modded one. All the mods will be done by me so I know the entire history of the car.

Getting my drift?

IMO. Buy stock, work it yourself. That way you know it's done right.

Also, if it's a gen e3, it'll never lose value below 20k. Because they are super rare.

thanks for the advise guys, canna went the other way didn't I .

As you all know Dino's car is just so clean and I know he built it good. He's a pretty Anal guy ( no offence Dino). drove it last night and that thing was so smooth and straight.

I still loved the evo I saw. that was pretty nice , id be spending to much to get that to the same level as dino;s car . if anyone has seen dino's car you will know the work that went into it.

PS thanks for the help guys

I'd agree with what Lorrie said to a point, but we've all seen Dino's buildup, and it's quality..

Ditto. Dino put alot of blood, sweat and tears into that car!

Good stuff stan, cant wait to see that thing hammer!!

i heard this cars been featured in fast 4s TRUE ???

Dino told me that its had shots taken etc, but hasnt been featured- yet.

You'll take all the credit for it lol.

Probably had change in circumstances and couldn't afford the loan or whatnot. Or insurance was too dear etc.

Happened to me, but I dragged my sorry ass out of the ditch and now i'm keeping my vr4 and it isn't going on the market ever again.
