Ok guys,

My 20G arrived today from Kando and so I thought I'd see what interest there was in my 16g.

This is a BIG 16g that came off the VR4 RS engine I was going to put in my car which I was told had 85,000klms on it.

The impeller blade spins freely and has absolutely zero shaft play at all, it feels like a brand new turbo.

Turbo comes with:
  • Stock dump pipe
  • Actuator
  • J pipe (over manifold)
  • Oil feed
  • Oil drain
  • Water feed
  • Water return
  • o2 Sensor & leed with plug
Price drop to $350 + postage

Yep. Just doubled checked against the turbo when I got home and its an 070 housing.

Hmm and I've just checked the serial no again and it would appear that this may be a BIG 16G? Unless someone can confirm otherwise?

i was just about to say that looking at the compressor wheel with the diff sized blades. indicative of big 16g whereas small have the same size all round

Hah, and to think for the past 2 years I thought I had a small 16g sitting around and it was a big 16g!

Original post edited, price stays as is...

Measure the comp wheel.
It's only the 14b that has single sized fins. Both 16g's had staggered blades.
Saying that, it is probably a big 16g anyway! I've never seen a small yet.

My old VR4 had a small 16G Tim.
And yes, I believe it did have staggered blades as well.

Comp wheel measures around 46mm - hard to measure accurately due to the chamfered intake on these things.

The serial numbers on the comp cover indicate a Big 16g and from my recent research of this serial code all links point to Evo 0 RS turbos - which is the engine this has come off.

If anyone can prove it's a small 16g I'm happy to advertise it as such. Don't want to create another big v small argument.

Either way it's in awesome condition, if it doesn't sell I might get it machined out to a 20g and look into a bb centre, depends how the new 20g performs.

Price dropped to $350 for the sake of getting this out of the way.

Bargain for anyone looking to upgrade, has everything you need.

A crazy bargain indeed. thanks for putting this up AFTER I already bought my new turbo :(

just wondering, is the dump pipe outlet 3" ?

If so are you eager to sell it ;)

Dump pipe is standard but could be ported. Unfortunately not looking to separate as it is a convenient package for an upgrade, virtually bolt on for a 93 and straight bolt up for a 63.
