As the title states I got an EPA in the mail from back in may before I even bought the car! Does anyone have a stock exhaust lying around that I can borrow to pass the EPA? Just need a Cat back. any help would be appreciated

I agree get a piece of tin punch a 1 7/8th inch hold in the centremark out the bolt holes and slip it inbetween the bolt up flange.
very cheap fix to your problem.
you can use an existing gasket as a templet.
If you putting in restriction plates with holes punched in them at your flanges, and you think they will notice them, why not cut them a few mm smaller in diameter than the outside of the flanges so they don't stick out and use lots of exhaust goo. If they are hidden behind the goo they wont see it.I've got an 'EPA special' catback, which will guarantee 82dB at the testing facility enquire within if you want to borrow mate.
Regarding painting your varex black, inserting a buffer/plate etc... usually EPA consists of taking the noise reading as well as looking through the exhaust system (ie car is on ramp etc and mechanic inspects full exhaust from turbo back).
Unless they're complete retards, they will notice any 'temporary attenuation' haha.
Best go with a dedicated pea shooter to guarantee first pass every time!
