Dunno whether these have already been posted but I was looking around for some tough pics of VR4s and i found these. From american autocross or something. Other than scrubbing would this have any other bad qaulities like wearing out wheel bearings prematurely or other stuff?

It reminds me of a Big Bear remote control car.

The tires would be scrubbing on the guards
If the guards were cut/shut and pumped, it wouldnt handle any worse, should handle fairly well as the track is wider.. But only in the USA....

I'm no suspension expert, but wouldn't that make the car handle worse?

Youre right.
Im not that schooled up completely on it, but I've done a little bit on it. Theres a thing called 'moment of inertia' and also 'angular acceleration'. If you go sticking your wheels ou that far with a wide track you start to effect these things directly.
What can happen is the cars centre of mass becomes slower to react to the steering inputs...when you turn, the wheels make a big arc, make them wider, your turning a bigger arc...so to speak...the problem is even more noticeable at higher speed

Id like to drive it to see how it feels, not much better i predict.
