Makes me wonder why people are still wanting $15k + for their 1800 GSR's!

People are never going to wake up to this though. I hope they dramatically drop in price when i start looking for a car again next year. Would love to get another gsr.

Looks good Clutz!

I'm on the hunt for one atm....grade 4.5 for the price

Has anyone ever imported through these guys?

I'm still waiting for compliance plates for my car at the moment....sucks big balls...

People just have to understand with VR4s / GSRs that the next tier of cars have come thru as why bother paying 15k for a GSR when you can get a EVO6+ onwards for sub 20's as IMO GSR arent worth over 10k in this current climate no matter what standard of modifications.

Happens to all car platforms Subaru / Toyota / Nissan etc, etc.

OZ dollar is superstrong atm compared to the Jap yen as they'll get cheaper.

I agree. VR4's have fallen HEAPS in the last few years- I cant figure out why GSR's havent. I paid $14,000 for my facelift E39A VR4 4 years ago.

Hey Dre, totally agree bud 8)

As much as i love GSRs / VR4s being a previous owner and selling mine over 3 yrs back for 13k retained to stock id never pay anything over 10k for a hi-end GSR as just not worth it.

Look at what you can get for around the 10k mark could buy a 2J Aristo / JZX90 Chaser / as unfortunately the GSR / VR4 have had there time.

Anycase most peeps who've ever owned GSRs / VR4s have upgraded to higher end EVOs as thats definetly the next tier for sure.

Hahaha except true fiends like me who downgraded to something even older

Cheap Evo's

You could also blame the EVO X as well for the price drop.

Iron Chef imports has a 7 for around $22 landed and complied with high auction grade looks similar to this one but has diff rims.

sivart that car may be an ex racer from the mud flaps but at 19 k who cares. :)

Ironchef and J-spec are both quality importers so I would not worry that much. I have used Ironchef and lots of people I know use Ben from J-spec both have fairly high standards and cheap prices for importing I would recomend both of them based upon person experience and word of mouth.
But if importing I would factor in an additional 5k for miscellaneous items. Dont forget this only includes compliance not rego you then need to rego the car and if the car has any after market mods you will need to pay to take then off and standard items put on. This normally can not be done unless by your Compliancer (sneaky compliancers rent out their wheels for compliance at a cost of $120). Tyres are the same if they are diff sizes they will need to be replaced for compliance my tyres had dried so much they had massive tears in the sidwalls, so with the two cars mentioned on this thread you might want to go with the white ones as a better deal!

Agreed with Gooch. Kristian (Iron Chef) and Ben/Craig (J-Spec) are very reputable, however importing isn't always fun. Definitely expect something to let you down in the whole process.

That's why you get your car a couple of grand cheaper - the hassle!
