HOLY FARK!!! We to the Grand Prix for the first time ever yesterday!! Man those things farking FLY!!! Was in a corporate box but fark it was HOT!!! Saw a Veyron!! heaps of cool shit, not enough women. Nice white E6 on display too.

yep, they are mad. i have been corporate a few times but i
still prefer grandstand in a way.

and woo hoo no traction control again...much better

the evo6 would probably be roberts

Used to live on the F1 track..that was the life....back in the day when F1 made money for the state that hosted it. I say enjoy it while you've still got it!!!

so enjoy it for the next 2 years..

as its a 50+ milllion dollar upgrade to make it night racing.. and that will never happen as in 2 years its leaving.. :)

was there today, volunteering for st john ambulance.. selling little survival kits. so funny people walk past say no.. then 5 minutes later come back as the f1's are loud as hell

...ohh, poor ear drums lol.

40 million I beleive it costs for the formula 1 rights annually and it has lost the state government 210 million and counting. Bring it back to Adelaide I say...infact, it should not have left!!!

I will not touch the politics at all, but man that Veyron is not impressive at all. On the track it was way slow than the solar powered car, and it was overcast at that point!

The Porsche 917 was great.

Yeah the Evo 6 is my car

Shit it got dirty from all the dust But dont worry it has my esky in the back and lots of drinks :p

But yeah the SAU guys where a bit disapointed as my car seems to be getting alot of attention i have had sevral bis cards handed to me as i have been walking around with people wanting me to contact them and so on

just wish i had lowerd the car and put some spaces on it to fill out the guards a bit more I was going to go on the dyno yesterday as well but got a bit late and i was tierd and very drunk

Also i have to say 1st time i have ever been to the F1 to see the cars and i goto say i got sick of them like yeah cool they where quick but i lost intrest rather quick to

Had free tickets for the 4 days (third year in a row), but:

Too hot

Too loud

Can see more on telly.

Nephew thinks I'm a hero for giving them to him (but then he likes nissans, so what would he know!)

not a big fan of the F1, but watched it this week and it does look like fun, plus with no traction control and engine brakes it really does show who is the better driver.

did some research of the cars and the figures are awesome.
equipped with an NA 2.4L V8 pulling out around 600kw! want one of them in your car? fork out around $330000 for one.

engines run on unleaded fuel closely resembling publicly available petrol. The oil which lubricates and protects the engine from overheating is very similar in viscosity to water

to compare the power output, the s2000 has 92kw per cylinder where as the f1's have 225kw per cylinder. all put into a shell half the weight of a mini cooper. pretty amazing stuff!

i just watched the Top Gear episode where Hammond said F1 driving is piss easy. They put him into an F1 car to see how hard it really is, and he was oversteering and understeering all over the place.

heres a link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0O7gFycPho

I cant see what all the fuss is about really!

Sure they are fast, but watching it tv is wayy better- total opposite to rallying

yeah i wouldn't go there to watch the race, the cars are so fast, u'd probably see them for a split second.

yeh weve been over to melbourne twice for the F1's they are impressive to see..

they are better to watch on telle prehaps, but nothing get close to the sound of them up close!... we were at the first corner when ralf scumacher flew over barichello at the start in '02 that was just amazing!..

Is that the incident where that wheel flew through the fence and killed that marshall? Poor man.

HAHA yeah My car was coverd in dust nothing i could do about it it was so windy and crap i gave it a clean one day but yeah gave up due to heat

i have to say i have never liked F1 but thought i would go to see KISS this year HAHHA was alright to see them go past but yeah not intrested as for people saying better seeing it on tv and you can see more MMM NO lol

hire a portable TV from the track and you can CHoose what cam you want to view so you can select what you want to see if you want to see incar if you want to see a set turn and so on

Dear God it was hot AS! One chick apparently passed out while queuing up for drinks and another chucked up from the heat. I'm surprised no-one went out for heat exhaustion.

On a (somewhat) good note, we were standing exactly where Sabestian Bourdais blew up. They wheeled him in right in front of us. I'll not soon forget the look on his face, he was totally shattered!

You would be suprised how many people would have been treated over that weekend. Saturday not so much as it was a cooler day.. but friday and sunday. You would not have seen the amount of people who needed to be attended by St John Ambulance or Paramedics.

I thank god i was there sat and not Sunday..

no that was 2000 im pretty sure, it was Jacques Villernurve who hit Ralf Schumacher and it was at turn 3. Yeh that was a Sad year for F1 as another official was killed at Monza from a flying tyre after a big crash.. lucky they have the wheel thethers now..

f1

Yeah! F1 is pretty technical however I really like doing two things when I go there.
1) Look at the old racing cars they are unreal, like 3.0litre straight 8's supercharged bolted into a small chasis wieghing all but 300 - 400 kg with 5"tyres like how hard would it of been driving these things with massive steering wheels love to see the drivers working hard. and think of it no technology just seat of the pants big balls and lots of sidways action.
2)walk across one of the foot bridges with no ear plugs in whilst the F1's go full throttle under you. There is nothing more exciting than feeling that whole bridge shake with that power.
2.5) A good perv lol!
