Some people critisize the E-Manage, but I doubt they have actually used one. I have had one on my Evo 3 for bout 18 mths, and very happy with it.
Tunable on the fly with lap top as well.
There are several mitsys in Adelaide running them.
well ive had my heart set on an autornic for ages, but beninca motors are the authorised dealer/tuner in melbourne, and whilst they do know what their on about, and seem to be very good at what they do, speaking o them on the phone and over email has led me to believe they are
a)overpriced
b)rude
c)condescending and
d)lazy
so, maybe a haltech is the way to go? and EFI ahrdware and mitcham I would probably got o for tuning. unless anyopne else knows a good autronic dealer/tuner???
last time i went there they tried talking me into getting a wolf3d v4 plus,
but again, the autronic stuff is pretty hard to beat....... (unless your comparing price )
maybe haltech is the go?
budget is anywhere around 2k supplied for the ECU, not including install/wiring/tuning.
wolf has
- electronic boost control built in (just need the solenoid)
- turbo timer built in (just need to wire up the relay)
- wideband o2 built in (just need the sensor)
- memory stick port (2 maps with the flick of a switch)
- data logging
- security pin code (no possible way of starting the car without the pin)
- unlimited free software updates
- free downloadable software
- 125rpm tunable (microtech is 500rpm)
I seem to recall, he was asking what the E-Manage was like, not how it compares to a stand alone Autronic. Unless you have used a e-manage yourself, you are not really in a position to say are Sh!t. For a relatively low cost unit, they work well. Of course a stand alone computer can offer better results, but they can also throw up plenty of problems as well, not withstanding the considerable costs in supply, fit, and tune.
