hey guys just wondering if anyone has come across this issue before and if anyone has fixed it

what i have happening is my gsr runs perfectly fine off boost however as soon is it comes on boost it coughs and splutters and gurgles there is no smoke however which i have found strange however when the car is cold it will boost perfectly as soon as it warms up it starts this problem we have tried the following with no prevail

plugs
leads
coils
ignitor
airflow meter

and i have a cam/crank angle sensor here to put on it still but if this doesnt work im out of ideas

can anyone shed some light ??????

What plugs are you using?
hoprfully non -11 ending part number plugs.

It does sound like ignition breakdown. Ngk bpr6es are the vr4 ones. I'm unsure if the gsr ones are the same.

since there is no smoke....I suspect lack of fuel as a possible cause. either get someone to follow you to check for black smoke or use a wide band to check the afr.

posible causes are blocked fuel filter and dodgy pump

I should have also mentioned guys i have changed the fuel filter and the plugs iam running are bosch platinums

Have u checked all your cooler piping is on tight and no splits in the rubbers?? Sounds like a prob 1 of the cars here had

no haven checked that yet will go check now but it holds solid boost at 10 pounds doesnt flucuate at all might have to put my scanner on it and check the voltage on the tps switch

had the exact same issue, and it was an intercooler hose which popped off the piping.

By the way, nice username :)

haha yeah its my plates  the car is going on a hoist in the next hour when i can free one up in my shop so i will soon find it if it is a cooler pipe

LOL really

thats cool!

I owned the plates before you from 2002 - Feb 2009

well actually, for 3 years of that I kept them in RTA storage as I had a custom plate

then I finally let go :(

ok guys i have been all over the cooler piping and silicone bend and there are no splits in the pipes and no pipes wher blown off i retentioned them to be safe anyway but stil no good at all ??????

Considering you have the CAS there ready to go, maybe you should cross that off the list of possibilties, as suggested??

You've tried all the other suggestions in your list, ,but not that?? seeing as you have it there already??

Did you actually do a boost leak test tho or just go over the pipes? Usually they're non visible
I think it might be your fuel pump though. What pump are you running?

Ok guys i got the shits with it constantly being on my hoist it has gone to a mates workshop for a dyno so hopefully this will tell me what is wrong with it will let you know the outcome thanks for your help

Hey guys after all the messkng around and 12 hours of dyno tuning later and the problem turned out to be the airflow meter
