Hey guys, I'm in the process of reassembling my car and am trying to tidy it up as I go, today I came across a section of loom which joined to about 3 relays and 2 fuses, it also had the plugs for several parts of the aircon system, the relays and fuses are bolted to a steel plate which is mounted above the abs thingo behind the passenger light, I had a fiddle and found I could remove this section of loom from the rest of the engine bay loom.

My question is this,
Since I am not running ac anymore and have removed the compressor, dryer and the radiator looking thing; is it possible to leave out this ugly old section of loom including the relays and fuses so I can try keep my bay abit neater, without having any effect on any other parts of the car??

From what I could see and traced back it didn't plug into any other parts but I don't know if it does further down the loom or if it will make the ecu play up.

Any input is appreciated..

Thanks

you can take it out no prob....but....sometimes only one fan will work after that. In some later GSRs there is also a plug on the firewall that has to go into the plug you remove the AC harness from as well. it is near the washer bottle

Thanks Brian, the ac fan will be no worries cause I have removed that too, I'm gonna run twin thermos off the standard ecu fan system.

When you say there's another plug near the wiper bottle; do you mean I unplug the loom and then plug in this other plug? I didn't notice one if that's the case but I wasn't exactly looking for it. You said later gsr's, mine is a 95 which is a 2nd gen... Is that right?
