While i was doing the clutch in my daughters car yesterday.....I knocked the solenoid and managed to snap a nipple off.

I had been running it in the line after the turbotech manual boost control thingo so that the boost was higher than it would actually see. So now that its broken but still plugged in does any one know what the effect will be of it not seeing any boost?

i disconneted my stock boost solnoid all together and ran the vaccum line straight from the turbo to my intercooler piping. i just installed a turbotech boost controller last night and ran it in between the turbo and my cooler pipe.
i hope this info helps

that is what I have done now as well......

Im not really sure whether there are any differences yet

i think as long as it is still plugged in so the ecu thinks its there brian it will be fine(if its still running the factory ecu that is)

it seems to be ok mate........but I like it to look standard just in case the cops lift the hood.........mind you they would be looking hard to see it.

won't make any difference to the ecu if it's there or not.

A few years back when my ebc died at the drags I collected the 'spare' solenoids from a bunch of my mates cars and daisy-chained them using the t-pieces from the windscreen washer lines and some spare vac hose - bit of a bode but it worked
