Hey does anyone have any info on the 4g93T's fuel economy rating from factory?

Ie: 10L/100kms(yeah right  ) etc....

Just interested to know thats all!

Thanks

well as it states on the specs, in the back of the GSR factory brochure.......

FUEL CONSUMPTION (to AS2877)

Urban Cycle> 10l/ 100km

Highway Cycle> 6.8l/ 100km

 maybe when the car was new "yeah"

I found something:

http://www.goauto.com.au/mellor/mellor.nsf/story2/ABCB855438B2BF12CA256D4B0003551C

On page 2:

The performance comes at a cost - paid at the petrol bowser. In normal city and suburban driving conditions, fuel consumption will average a reasonable 10 to 13.0L/100km but driven hard the GSR can empty the 50-litre fuel tank in under 300km.

3 Full tanks after the new ECU and im running into the 12L/100Kms zone for around the city, with a bit of spirited driving of course

My wife drove it all last week and got an extra 40kms out of it

Must have lighter shoes

Anyone else found any "Official" specs though?

Im still interested!

EDIT: ah HYPRVR beat me to it! Thanks dude!

SHITE! I cant see a stock gsr back then making 735kms from a tank!

Hey Dane, maybe Mitsubishi had grannies driving their cars for testing...........

Bwa ha ha ha ha......

Anyway thanks for that.

Im happy with around 12L/100

Best i ever got was 450kms from Albury to ACT and some....IIRC...

and when driven real hard about 100km competitive.

I saw on a car show the other day that the Bugatti Veyron at full noise will empty its tank in 12 minutes

If ya can afford a $Million+ car the juice would be no big deal of course!

Mine does around the 10-11L/100km in the city, but I have never had it fall to 6.8L/100km on the highway. Maybey 9/100 on the highway at the least, at 110km/h its running around 3400-3500rpm so it will drink a bit.

Still compare that to a commonwhore or a fraud and they average those sort of figures from their new cars, which are supposed to be economical.

Is your rally car using pump fuel? or ELF WRF? because that would make it an expensive 100km!!

Mimmo

i get 300 ks out of a tank.. and if im lucky and shifting at like every 2000 rpm lol.. ill get about 350-370 tops!!

and i thought we had 40 something litre tanks lol.. ah well..

are you guys sure we have a 50L tank..? coz today i had half of a quarter left, poured only about 37-38 litres on top.. and im full again...

You need to drive around with the light on for about 30km's or untill the engine shudders a bit then see how much you can fit in!

correct me if im wrong but i heard that driving with the fuel less than a quarter full wasnt 2 good for the pump and most of all the engine, coz the fuel is splashing around in the tank and the pump isnt getting a good sucktion coz of that.

Ok I am 99% sure that on Sunday morning after topping up with fuel (BP 98) for the Appolo bay cruise I reset the trip computer so I could see how far we traveled for the day,
Now I had my blow off valve venting externally for the day,
I was thrashing the car for a good part of the driving,
When I went to fill it up tonight, light on coughing a little just as I rolled into the servo, I put 47 litres in, and to my amazment the trip computer says 483km, Is this possible? did anyone else do a measure on the kays from Sunday?
I did get a wheel alignment on the Friday but surely the car was not straining against itself that much before hand?!
I have never got this many km's out of a tank of fuel before, esp. thrashing it! it makes me think maybe the BP Ultimate is good stuff

Hey dude, I haven't managed that far but if I worked it out correctly you used about 10L/100KM which is near the best I have gotten, I have managed 9L/100KM, but I have a stock Evo 3. From my tests I have found that constant running gives some very good economy, its the everyday stop start stuff that kills the economy.
