Gsr fuel tanks

I had my fuel tank professionally clean however it appears to be all rusted out. It looks like it had been repaired previously and coated. Will a tank out of a coupe, sedan or wagon fit? Or any other in in-expensive ideas? Thanks

Only awd tanks have the hump for the tail shaft.
i think one of those kbs tank repair kits would make your tank usable for a few more years. Really good product and now your tank is clean its a easy product to use.

Cheers, I think that was the stuff that was already done to it buy the old owner. Cause they said it looked like it had been coated. Damn bit of wishful thinking hoping they were all the same lol

If you got a good tank, i would suggest the coating anyway. There is a good 6 or so long term members here that have the kbs kit in their tanks.
So whats the difference. Chuck it in to fix your tank, and you know to keep a eye out for it leaking. Look for a good replacement in meantime and when you find one, use the rest of the kit for the good tank.

Got about six tanks over here in good nick. Started collecting when a car I bought had so much rust in the tank it clogged the fuel filter. Im expec ting to have to replace three soon in the cars I have here that have sat around for ages

I have my m21 tank and wagon tank kbs coated it seems to be a pretty solid product

I'm not to sure where who did it my mechanic gave it to some one he knows that does that sort of thing. Im on the sunshine coast so it was just a local guy

I think I'm going to have to do that, shame your on the other side of the country. Maybe easier going a Fuel cell?

If you want a fuel cell look up aftermarket industries, I have them on Facebook and they look A1

Fuel cells suck. They are small and inefficient waste of space. Sure bet its dearer than a gsr tank too and harder to fit. And they kill boot space and the cog is higher than oem tank. Or if cell is underfloor its tiny.

ego should ship a tank east for $150 or less.

They pretty empty. More gravel in them than anything else.
Bout as dangerous as a empty milo tin, without a lid
