Guys! I have searched the forum and looked at the workshop manual but I thought I would hit up the brains trust as well. I bought a full Dayco timing belt kit for my 4G93Twhich includes belt, idle bearing, tensioner bearing and hydraulic tensioner.

Sooo my question is around the tensioner and the bearing, I know there is a special offset adjusting tool for the tensioner bearing. The new kits bearing doesn't seem to have the pick up points for the tool. I have replaced heaps of timing belts but no lancers so would like some tips.

See images below for reference, thanks in advanced.

when i did mine i had the hydraulic tensioner clamped and pinned as per the manual set the ofset bearing tight against the belt(didn't use of have the tool) then unpinned the tensioner just follow the guid should tell you everything you need to know when i redid the belt i didn't even bother with resetting the offset bearing

completly different follow the step outline in this document http://122.148.77.132/4gt-manuals/GSR%20Lancer%20Turbo%20%28see%20also%20CC%20Lancer%20Sedan%29/4G9x%20series%20workshop%20manual%20%28includes%204G93T%20DOHC%29.pdf
