GSR to VR4 Turbo Change

Have a Gsr with the factory TD04 this Gsr has a custom made dump pipe that fits to a 3 inch exhaust that has a different connecting flange on the dump and the exhaust. Problem is trying to fit this Vr4 TD05 its 5mm larger than the connecting Gsr dump.Apart from custom making the Vr4 dump to fit can you change the turbo housing where it sits? hence not changing the turbo mount or the dump :?

sorry i cant quite understand...

Do you mean can you change the position of where the rear turbo housing sits on the manifold?
So it bolts up to the dump pipe in the same spot?

If thats the case then the answer is that the turbo can only hang where the manifold will alow it to.If you were to get an evo manifold it would change it again,but im pretty sure an evo manifold wont go on to a 4G93.

You'd have to modify the dump pipe where it meets the turbo,a good exhaust shop wouldnt charge much to do this..

On the other hand if you unbolt the V-clamp on both turbos and swap the rear housings, you could put your TD04 rear housing on the TD05 turbo..That i would imagine would put the rear housing in the same spot as your TDO4..but it would be a downgrade on performance.
