I've done it before but it's messing with my mind at the moment. I'm trying to set up my foglights so they can be activated when the parkeys are on.

Im drawing power from battery into a fuse which then goes into a relay. From there it goes to a switch and follows to fog lights.

The othe side of the relay has a wire running into a fuse into relay then out to ground. My problem is plugging that wire in to the parleys near the ignition barrel. I can get the fogs to turn on when plugged into either low beams or high beams (but if u activate high beams if it's in low then they turn off of course).

Having the pins on the plug facing u. There are 3 big pins on your right. Top is black. Middle and bottom being red and your high and low beams. On the left side of the plug are 4 small pins. the top two red constantly have 12v third is black so ground. Bottom green has constant 12v until I turn the parleys on where it stops sending voltage.

I've tried the too 2 red pins. Both automatically turn the headlights on without touching the switch. And plugging it into the bottom green turns parleys on constantly. If I plug it into either of the two black wires (being ground) I get nothing. Yet it works fine off both high and low beams.

Big WTF. Got multimeter out and no wires are switching in to give me a constant 12v to hack into on just parkers. I've done it before but can't rememeber what I did. Way too late tonight to think straight

so you want your fogs on when your parkers are on correct. you then also want to isolate the fogs so that they are only on when switched on. so the both circuts parkers and fog switch must be on for the fogs to work. the park bulbs run on a seperate plug to the h7 headlight globes

what i would do is find a const 12v source fuse it at 10amps place a switch and then run to the relay trigger and earth that completes the relay activation part. i would place the relay in the engine compartment/ then tap into the park light circut near the bulbs using only the posetive wire (don't break the circut just draw power from it) then from the relay out to the fogs and then from the fogs to ground that then supplies power to the fogs only when the [ark cicut is engaged. they will still work when high/low beams are on

how i'd wire it

thats how my blue leds in my angel eyes are wired up

My Angel eyes are hooked up to run when i press the evo fog light button above drivers vent, just spliced them into the nevo fog light mwiring

my eyes are hooked into parkers cause i can although technicly. for that true oem look they should be wired to come on at startup and stay on always unless headlights are on.

Mmm. K. I thought of that. But for the purpose of neatness I want it wired in off the interior loom. And best spot is off the light plug on steering column. Other option is I can pull signal from back of instrument cluster.

well if i turn the stalk to parkers. the parkers will only be on

and if i press the evo fog light switch the angel eys will light up, so does parkers and dash lights

Its the way EVOs are wired up

I have glxi interior loom. Not Evo :( so no fog lights previously set up. That's why I made my own wiring in the looms for figlights and elec windows. All works fine and is part of existing looms with their own plugs.

Do u know where I can draw power from on a glxi loom? Otherwise I can go into the cluster wiring and when that lights up with parkers it'll turn fogs on. But I swear I had lighting run off the steering column before.

wire like this. fogs can only be turned on when parkers or headlight are on and turn off when parkers turn off.
if you hack in at the light switch there is only a small amount of power there and you will be drawing it all through your light switch. this will shorten its life.
if you do it my way you could make it all factory looking with factory relay in a unused position in the relay box and the same with a fuse.
almost the same as khubners

draw your power from pin 4 of tail/park relay in fuse box near battery, its red/white stripe, or one of the fat ones

All good :) thanks for the ideas :)
Sorry for late reply. Went snowboarding :)
I'll look into the set up a little more :)

Just had a squiz at a separate situation. I'm wiring up some guages under my head unit. Head unit has those areopro adapters so it all plugs. Been checking those wire and on the stock plug there is a dash illum wire (pin1 g/w)

With guages it was 3 wires. Black ground, red ignition and orange illum. So orange can go into the g/w for dash illum.

If so.... Coz fogs are drawing power off battery. Couldn't I draw my relay power from that point aswell?

sure you can. as long as you not trying to draw the foglight power from the park circuit and only using it to trigger the relay, thats fine.
just run that g/w to your fogs switch, then down to the relay and earth the other side of the relay. no sweat.

if it was me, i would be doing it the way the factory does it, and thats the way i drew it out for you above.

Yeah. I should have set it up that way originally when I had the looms out. I ran my wires and everything a few months ago so they are already in the loom.
