just thought others may be interested, and malaysian shipping is cheaper than japan too, i think $1100 will get a 20ft container to perth. but you can get 5 cuts in a container.

not to put a dampner on the whole fun bit of getting containers over. i work at an importer and its not a easy as it sounds. the cost can go up very very quick when you factor in duties taxe on top also. but this is just the start, customs clearances, air con degas certs, tyre clearance, aqis inspections and re inspections, hiring an approved aqis officer while its getting unloaded and having a approved premises to load at, if it doesnt pass aqis which most dont, it needs to be properly washed also. then storage fees of containers and all.
i wish it was easier or i would be doing it!

x2 this is a huge killer for us! they compound and spiral out of control :blink: and nasty tax on tax (gst on top of duty) :angry:
