Just depends what you wanna do mate and what sort of budget you have. You've covered springs and retainers to suit the big cams so that's pretty much it to go with the cams unless you also want a set of adjustable cam gears to dial them in for fine tuning.
The valves, valve seat job, valve guides, porting, valve stem seals etc are just an option and not a necessity so you dont have to include them if your budget wont allow it.
Instead I'd throw in some bigger 3G hydraulic lifters while the cams are out and of course whenever the head's been off and shaved make sure you get a new multi-layer steel headgasket, new timing belt and a set of ARP head bolts to be on the safe side :wink:
When you want to be sticking to a low budget, buying ss valves, manganese bronze guides, angle valve jobs, porting etc is a contradiction in terms as its done to squeeze every little bit of power out of an engine (usually most of the hi-po engines have this all done) :wink:
