help- lsd code

hi all.
I was trying to match gearbox code to see if the evo 2 rs gearbox i have has front mechanical lsd. I was trying to look for w5m33-2-wpye or w5m33-2-wpfe.

My gearbox code is bsb7753-2-wpye.

Any1 know what this code is. I assume that my gearbox does not have front mechanical lsd as mine says wpye at the end.

Take a pic of the gearbox number, coz that number doesnt come up with anything

And theres no gearbox with the code BSB7753

sorry the picture isn't very clear. This is the only one you can see the numbers and letters. It has some sort of bar code and BSB7753-WPYE underneath.
Can't load pix with this phone. Do i have to shrink it?

you can get the basic info from the last four letters on the stick .....but just above that sticker on the bell housingare some stamped letters and numbers. that will be the number that most people refer to

got it. The stamped letter:
W5M33-2-WPYE
SB 7753
result-evo 2 rs. No front lsd.
Where should i look if i want to find rear lsd code and transfer case code?

All transfer cases are the same except for evo3, they have a different ratio

As for rear LSD, i wouldnt know, only way i would say is by openin it up and having a look... all the numbers on the case are the same

The rear LSD's usually have a sticker stating LSD OIL which would mean that it has a mech LSD.

If no sticker, no LSD (or viscous)...

That is on a VR4 anyway... I'm assuming it goes for the Lancers also..

Otherwise, pull off a shaft and look in the hole.. open = shaft going through, Mech LSD = see right through, Viscous = different length shafts/spines..

Yeh they have stickers on them that say "use spasceific LSD oils" or something like that.... but its just a sticker and could be ripped off at any stage

just curious ....how many revs is this car doing at 100kmph in 5th gear....using the rs box
