Hi all i have a 1993 Mitsubishi lancer GLXI 1.8L SOCH


Can i install a turbo on to the same engine?
Will i have any complecationce?

Pretty sure you can do that, but it would probably be better/cheaper to source a GSR/Evo engine to put in your car. The GSR is a 1.8L DOHC turbo charged engine which could be had for an good price.

RPW , Do kits for those models, but its cheaper to buy a GSR lancer at the end of the day

As people have told you before, you're going backwards by turbocharging the SOHC engine. either upgrade to a DOHC 4g93t GSR engine or just buy a GSR altogether.

if ya dead set on a turbo'd glxi then ul need manifold, inj, fuel pump, turb, plumbing, a computer, new front pipe probly full exhaust, then brakes, probly look at the driveline so you can actually use the power, possibly could use a gsr head an bolt it to the n/a blockwith a couple of h/g's to drop the comp abit, really is a big waste of money if ya havin to source everything

come to think of it didnt he just buy a gsr...
