Hey guys, so i recently put in some EVO 7-9 suspension with additional front camber plates on my SSG RVR and put in in for a wheel alignment.... Everything runs fine however it now squeals at nearly every corner and even driving in a straight line over the white paint on the road...

Any ideas? I took it back to the wheel alignment shop but they had no answers for me as it tracks perfectly.... Tyres are near new and at 33psi.

Thanks, Lars

Wheels should be pretty much straight up and down, fronts slightly in at top.
back wheels should sight straight along car, and fronts maybe point slightly in at front, but pretty much straight ahead.

always get the printout. Then you have a record and lots of cool measurements.

look at a few other cars as well. Then you will pretty much know what you are looking at

I have 1.8º negative both sides front with a touch of toe in. I got mine set up by a tyre place next to work, they have drift cars so they know their stuff, I just told them how I drive and they sorted it out.
As Jack said, get the printout, it will be a reference for future alignments once the right setup is achieved.

↑ Totally dude, but only in Kyoto........fcuk, I meant Tokyo........I'm such a dyslexic cnut.

Pfffft, 1.8 isn't really a lot for a daily. It has really changed the feel of the car, it's so much more aggressive on tip in. Yeah sure, the tyres might wear a bit differently.....but it's AWD so compared to how fast my tyres would wear with a RWD I'm still coming up with wins.

What's your suspension type on the front? Adjustable coilovers or camber plates?
And the rears out of curiosity?

Just it sorted at Pedders in Burleigh... Spent 3 hours going over the whole car including a new alignment for just $85! Handles better then ever now... Slight tow in and about 0.4 negative camber.... Stoked

Thanks for you help boys

I would just about recommend a wheel alignment report as part of a prepurchase inspection. It will show a bent or twisted car pretty well. But generally the left front has more castor and is slightly longer wheelbase than the right (or the other way round?). This is to combat the 1.5° road camber and stop the car wandering off the left of the road all the time. You may notice one wheel is furthur forward in the wheel arch or the whole arch is furthur forward in the fender than the other side.

I dont know if newer cars are the same. It seems with the increase in multi lane highways that cars are often on the wrong side of the road camber...

sensibilities tell me its the right wheel that is furthur forward than the left.
Where is that report?
