System is a stock Evo 3 setup
I'm fairly sure I'm missing a few joiners.
If anyone can help me with the layout would be appreciated.

So far from pipe I have a 90* bend into a short pipe. Then another 90* into to big circular pipe with the resonator. From that it goes into the cooler ( I think I'm missing a joiner for the cooler....what bend do I use...)

Cold side I have the long pipe running over the cooler (joiner for that I have)
Then I don't know how it runs from there. I have a piece where it splits off to bov. A few random joiners.
I know bov sits into the intake pipe. But can't find a joiner that fits between the cooler pipe and the bov. I think it's missing.
So needing:
a detailed description of cold side setup
To know the size/bend of joiner from circular pipe to cooler.
Also where all the vacuum hoses run from/to as there seams to be lots of them :p

Thanks heaps. Hope I explain it all well :p

That helps :) thanks dean
By the lOoks of that I had it around the wrong way. The long pipe over the cooler is the turbo side!!!
I think I need the pipe from throttle. Where could I get that from?

shit i had one here and i hacked it up for my cooler setup and it still didn't FIT SOB!. just get the measurements for you tb and pipining and go down to you local parts supplier. and ask for some reinforced hose of this shape/diam

or if you intercooler piping is 2" and your 2b is a magna item i might have a length of hose similar to what i used here you can have

Apparently I can use radiator hose for the bov part :)
And I'll get some measurements for the other hose

BOV Hose
1. Get some measurements.
2. Go to supercheap auto/repco/autobarn, they have off the shelf rad hoses.
Its just a bit of rubber!

Hose from throttle
1. Get some measurements.
2. Buy a silicone reducer off ebay for the required size

I shall look into reducers. Do I need to put a hard pipe in between so it has something hard to clamp onto? Would PVC pipe be suitable?

Where are you located in Melbourne? I might be able to help you out a bit.

Templestowe bro.
That would be good. I am having issues mounting the cooler and the top coolerhose. The mounting spots don't seem to line up on my coupe :(

Hi Gianni,

I've gone through this saga myself so am pretty confident I can help you out.

There's no mounting spots on the Coupe radiator support which will match up perfectly to the intercooler. You need to get crafty.

There's a hole in the lower rail of the radiator support that is on the passenger side from memory - you can use a nutsert (also called a riv-nut) in this hole to bolt the intercooler to. When you've done that - bolt the passenger side mount of the intercooler to this hole and get a spirit level to get the intercooler straight. Then mark the driver side mounting point on the radiator support.

Drill this hole out and put another nutsert (or riv-nut if you like!) into this hole. Viola! You now have two captured threaded mounting points in your radiator support for the intercooler. The top mounting point isn't too far of the vertical support from memory so I think you need to make a little strap or something to pick it up.

Take a photo of your radiator support if you like and post it and I'll point out the hole in question that will start you off.

Apart from that you will also need to cut away some plate off the sides from the support so the cooler piping will clear

That's when the 1/4" angle grinder with 1.0mm cutting wheel comes into its own!!

From looking at Mike's first pic - that starting out hole I was referring to above might actually be on the driver side!

That helps heaps :) the top mount hole was about 5mm off te vertical rail. So if I make a bracket for that should be sweet :) I've seen the hole u were talking about. It looks like it should have a thread but it doesn't :p

These rivets u speak of. Can you get them from bunnings?

I'm having problems with the top cooler pipe aswell. It will obviously line up with the cooler mount I'll make. But there are two other mounting brackets on either end. Are they important?

yeah there is usually 2 other lil tabs that are on the evo support for them, i just bent up some flat bar and mounted it to the radiator support for extra brace, you dont really need to do it, i did it coz i mounted the pipe further back to clear the coupe bar

Get the cooler mounted 1st then see what you can do with the pipes to clear the bar

Cool. Whilst we are talking bolts. Off the top of your head do u know the two bolts that hold the starter motor inlace. What size are they m10 or m12. Also how long :p

Cool magool. I new that. Just couldn't be bothered going all the way to a wreckers :p figured buntings would do :p
