hi all. i need some help with a problem im trying to get to the bottom of:( does anyone know if i can run a evo chip in a chipped gsr ecu? my friend ran my ecu in his evo2 with one of "razza's" chips and he said the car ran fine. only prob he noticed was the fan wouldnt go on to cool the car down.

my car will have the 609afm, 450cc injectors, evo pump, evo2 turbo all on a 4G93T (chip will be done by razza for evo ecu but to suit 450 injectors)

1. has anyone done this?
2. if so have they had any issues?
3. Will it be ok running

thanks for any feed back on the subject

when we both get over swine flu , my bother and I will take your our mate for a drive and he can judge for himself

Yes I believe the GSR and EVO ECU are ok to share the same chips.

The problem with EVO2-3 ecu's is that they are not loggable
The GSR's and EVO1 I believe are. So a GSR ecu is a better choice.

(So i have been told by one of the chipping kings)

When you say loggable, what are you using to log? I know for a fact that the Evo II and III ECUs can be logged using Pocketlogger connected to the OBDI interface.

I have heard otherwise.
What are you using the log?
Maybe there is something out there that can log?

RVR's are also not loggable.

I have used the Pocketlogger software and cable fitted to a Palm m105 PDA and connected up to the OBDI port. Have a look at the Pocketlogger website for more info.

I havent been able to get EVO SCAN to work in my EVO 1. vr401 has been logging his HSG-R RVR using EVOSCAN for a while...
