also what price am i looking at i want to spend about $500
or would i be better getting a chip?
also what power would i make with good tune?

Dan, where abouts on the south coast? also what ecu are you running?

Sean

What ECU do you have in your car? if its an untouched standard 1 then you cant really tune it much at all

Give Meek automotive a call, they can chip the standard ECU and throw a tune in it for a cheap price

Otherwise you will need to get an aftermarket ecu for around 1k and a tune will cost minimum $600

Autotech charges minimum a starting price of $800 from memory

http://www.meek.com.au/

Power wise i would say between 110-130kw at all 4 wheels

Standard ECUs run rich as they are, i was running on my stock setup, idling around 12AFR and 10 on boost sometimes even see a 9 off the wideband

if o2 sensor is ok, it should always run at 14.7 for idle and cruise. when i put the ecmlink in i realized the 02 sensor wasnt working at all. it was running open loop all the time.

you could always buy a wideband and check it yourself. it will cost as much as getting someone to look at it

mine has a brand spankin new one and the back end of my coupe is blacker than an rb powered silvia. it no myth 93's run rich.

heres a photo of my head prior to rebuild. cylinder 4 show extensive carbon builup from running very very rich

all 4 pistons showed similar carbon levels.

Think of the comp you gained from all that carbon build up on the pistons... LOL :D

Meeks chips are all installed with a better tune than standard, and theres a HUGE difference between how both of the ECUs performs

I had an ECU here that was chipped and had a tune in it, i felt that the OEM tune seems to hit boost quicker and pull u back, while the tuned ECU i had here had a nice and smooth linear feeling

Plus the fact that i was hitting 10.0 AFR on the standard ECU on 16PSI and around 11.8 AFR on same boost with the chipped ECU

Something is very wrong for 20L/100kms, more than just an o2 sensor. Id sort it out before you tried to mask it up with a tune. Check that they are gsr injectors and not evo 510cc that have been swapped in.
