i have a 95 lancer gsr (4g93) with a tdo5 with an external gate

im running 10-12 psi through a boost tap but it doesnt fell like its comming on boost.

its a new turbo (3 months old) the gate opens around 8 psi

it also miss fires on boost

Alot of people have had problems with Irridiums and blowing spark on boost

As for the "not boosting" how did u set the vacuum lines up?

Sound like a classic example of a boost leak...

Do you have a boost gauge fitted? Is it reporting the correct psi under load that you're hoping to see?

A spray bottle filled with water & a little bit of detergent should show where the leak's coming from.

there a no leaks around the turbo manifold, intake manifold and intercooler or on the piping

could the fuel im using be the problem (bp98)

Very interested in this topic as I'll be running my engine in soon.
What do you guys recommend if running an ecu that hasn't been run on the engine before and doesn't have the correct tune yet? If you can't drive the car and put it under load do you just put as much load on it as you can? Or let it idle for ten minutes and run it in on the dyno?

I'm running a haltech too khubner1, but I won't be running an AFM so I'm not sure how it's going to read air fuel ratios...
Sorry to hijack.

If your removing your AFM and running a Haltech you will need to install an Air Temp Sensor and a Map Sensor
