I tried wiring in the parkers on my JDM headlights.
Only one wire of the 3 aus spec wires had power so I ran that as the power. The black wire I used as ground - and it worked. So I wired it up...

Now I have no parkers OR tail lamps!

The headlights, blinkers and brake lights still work.
The tail lamp fuses are fine.
The relay for the tails is hot but I swapped it with a working one and it hasn't helped.

Ideas???

somthing could be shorting...... take the ground off the jdm head lights and see if all the lights work again..... and take it from there

I didn't touch the wiring for the headlights. I just used the Aus spec bulbs/holders and plugged them into the JDM lights (theyre the same hole)

Anyway I missed one: A tail light fuse (I think - I was stuffing around with all of them) blew. I don't know how that's related?

I played musical chairs with the tail light/aircon/fan relays and now everything is OK and I have power to the parker wiring again :?

So if someone can tell me how to wire in these pesky parkers with minimal fuss that would be good.

red and white/black wires on the head lights, trace them back before the terminal and tap them there, there your parker wires

um..... take a photo of what your doing might help any one else.... were also talking bout Wiring up the lower fog lamps/parkers/signal to the rest of the system correct?

this is how my aspec is, the red wire goes to the power i would say, the black goes to an earth, and the green doesn't seem to go to the bulb at all??

thats different? are they using twin filament brake lamps for the front........

That's how I had it :?
The green wire never seemed to have power. I tried with the lights on/off/highbeams... nothing.

Jayrome I'm talking about wiring the Aus spec corner parking lights into the JDM parking lights (in the headlight)

ahhhhhhh my fault....... but 3 wires?...... just figure out which 2 wires you need and scrap the other one.... well considering it doesnt go to any thing?

ok thats odd.... check through the pdf's on the electrical system and see if you can find a difference.....

single filament push in bulb, the holder has 3 wires for some reason, i had a look through the pdf, couldn't find anything, i will have another look now tho

it still say only 2 pins are used the 3rd pin sill has no connection...... use a tester/multimeter and test accross the pins without the bulb in, will tell you what the hell its connected too

Gents I have found the answer!
Red = power
Black must = ground
Green = indicator power.

HUH???

I am not making this up. When the indicator comes on the green light is in power. Someone with an aus spec please go outside, turn on your indicator and tell me if the parker blinks at the same time

nah not weird, makes it interesting to fix :p never a boring moment...
