Been lurking round for a bit pilfering information here and there so I thought I would introduce myself properly.

Name's Aran, live in the UK. Had two mitsubishi's, both Evo's.

First one was an Evo 4 RS back in 2001/2002 but sold it when I was out of work. I didn't do much to it really, a GSR seats, GSR spec brakes (the RS spec for 15" wheels were terrible). Engine wise, I fitted a full HKS exhaust and elbow with the HKS RS intake kit and swapped out the 17" OZ SuperTourismos for some white 16" O.Z 5 spokes and fitted some blue mudflaps for the rally look... hey I was young..... only had the car on the dyno once and I think it was 297bhp so it was pretty lively with the short RS gearing. It opened my eyes to the performance available from affordable Japanese sports cars.

After I sold that I had a few "stop gap" cars and once back into work had a few Nissan R32 GTRs. They always seemed complicated to work on so after some internet research I came back to the Diamond star and saw and bought a 1994 Evo 2rs as a car to replace the GTR because it would be easier to work on and cheaper to modify. That was back in 2005 and I still have the car now, its fairly modified and has been a great long term project. I'll put a post up a build thread about the car and what's done to it.

I'll be looking for engine/turbo info for starters as I need to try and broaden my power band a bit. Its interesting to see what others have done to work around problems such as custom turbo installations etc. often its a better way than I used so I often change things as I love to get the spanners out.

anyway, thats all for now. I'll look forward to spending some time looking around here in the next month when I'm away with work.

Catch you later,

Aran

Nice EVO!
I do love the GTRs but I agree with you, everything just costs more to build them.
