HID Lights

I have a question about those HID lights as in are they legal to use in australia or in queensland also is there any colours that can be used and are the coulours that are illegal(6000k,8000k,10000k,12000k)???

nuffin i just like the blue stuff and i hate when there is a car with hid behind me and i c his lights more then i c mine.

go to supercheap, get those calibre xenon blue lights, h4 you WILL notice a difference and for $25 you can't go wrong

i've tried them craig and i wasn't very impressed.

the only set i was happy with was $7 ebay bulbs that came from japan but then i needed new set and couldn't find them and now the hid are so cheap so i'll give them a go

i have run HID's on my GGSR without annoying other drivers/police... they were slighty modded though......

6000K pure white (stock on most new cars)
8000K white with blue ish look
10000K basicly blue
12000K almost blue/purple

stock Vs HID, lights have to be re calibrated so you dont blind people

dude there plug and play, if u have ever changed a headlight globe, once u get a hid kit in your hands and look at it, it will all make sense trust me.

I have HID's in my GSR.

My mate had some in his civic and we had to adjust the hid bulbs so they wouldn't blind oncoming traffic.

Since my car has the single bulb for high and low beam I found that you didn't need to adjust them and they do not blind on coming traffic, since they are already adjusted for low beam as well has high.

you can get them of ebay for 99 shiped from states and that includes slim ballast or you can get normal ballast for 80 and you can choose type of bulb you want and colour.

you don't even need to get HID's - i got MTEC globes and they work a treat...

yeah i've tried many different brands and wasn't impressed and if i can get hid for 80 then i can't go wrong plus they last longer

8000k will be fine mate as long as there adjusted prperly, hell i ran 12000k on my CE coupe. got pulled up by cops a couple of times at night and htey never mentioned them.

i have gthid 6000k and i have had no probs at all.

very good quality.

i wouldnt go over 6000k for the street though
