high idle

hey guys was hoping to get some help or info about why my car is idling so high. Its pretty normal when warming up but one I put it in gear and start moving the revs shoot up to 1500, and most of the time would stay there, but other times it will drop down to 1000 then back to 1500. If anyone could give me some ideas on what to look for or at id appreciate it heaps.

Is your throttle jamming? Can you pull up pedal to lower revs?

na the throttle isn't jamming, it use to get stuck but cleaned it out with carbie cleaner and works fine now.

Unscrew your isc. Plug it in while removed. Does it move in and out as you go from key on to key off?
Also measure isc coils while its out. (You tube- something like isc dsm testing...)

ill give that a go and see what happens thanks.

you still got the 93 sohc?? if so throw the TB of that on the Proton engine and see how it runs

Check how far the stop screw for the cable is screwed out ?
