After discussions with several people on this forum and others i thought i would post this on here for everyone. It should be a good day, as its also posted on EVOoz

Hi Everyone
We're conducting a High Performance Training and Track Driving Day at Sandown on Saturday 9th Feb 2008
We will be running the day as an 'open pit lane' day, but we will also have 4 qualified (Certificate 3 and 4) instructors with lots of experience.
We also provide lunches, tea / coffee / soft drinks / cake !!, flaggies and Racesafe medical / rescue crew.

You do not need a CAMS or ASSA licence to participate in our High Performance Training and Track Driving Days

The format we run to is: 3 groups of ten drivers, twenty minutes of track time per hour.
Start time is 8.30 am for safety briefing, track is open from 9.00 am until 4.00pm

Cost is $295.00 per driver.

If you would like to come along please let me know via email [email protected] or call me 0413 540 197
Please dont send me a pm.

Regards
Kev

damnzzzz wont have my new engine in till the next week or soo!....... would be good for a run in lol...

"can I come down for a look or will it be invite only let in?"

I've only been there once, and that was for a camping show near the grandstand. Access then was easy to walk up into the stand to watch some drivers on a club day. I'd imagine it would be similar this time around: access is open to us, so you should be able to look.

My understanding is that there will be a max of 30 cars: So whether its worth coming down, who knows ? But, it would be great to see you and the Evo 2 there, as I haven't seen your car in the flesh silver Evo 2's are my favourite of all evo's!

I'm going to ask re the access question. I've got a few mates who want to watch me make a fool of myself on the track!

how did you go?

I went down and only seen a skyline or silvia going around then the rain came down hard, the guy wouldnt let me in

looked like fun though you got to do laps yeah

Was an awesome day - amazing feeling to wind your car off the clock and not worry about losing your license.

Hey George - the car went fantastic, was very very happy with how it went and held up. As one of the instructors said - the car is more than capable of doing what I want it to do, it's just the bloke behind the wheel that's going to limit it sofar!! He told me once I learn to drive it properly it should be capable of doing the track in a 1min 27-30sec lap (is that good?)

Got some great 2nd gear oversteer slides out of the turn out of the back straight after the rain and had the arse fish-tailing a little bit through 3rd. Boost pulled hard and constant all through the gears and it was winding past 180 kph (stupid Jap Spec speedos!) by halfway down each straight.

The EBC greens pulled it up nice and solid, no shudder or squealing, no noticeable fade (still did the cool down lap after every 2-3 hard laps).

Bennygsr was there too so we had enough Mitsu represntation to match the Suby boys.

Was a good day - the instructor I had with me was fantastic - made some really good points re my driving style ("WHAT style!?" I hear you ask...) and really helped me get the most out of my car and the track. Highly recommend others give it a go if the $$$ and chance allow.

In fact I think that's him driving the Coupe in the very first pic.
