Anybody had any experience with HKS GT2530? Currently got a TD05 16G. Want something that will pull hard, pull early and pull to redline.

Currently got an Evo 3 engine, stage 2 cams and a 3 inch exhaust.

Anyone who has used a GT2530, how did you like it?
 
I had a gt3076 on my old evo III (2L) with 272 cams and adjustable cam gears didn't make full boost til 4000rpm, i'd be guessing the gt25 would be somewhere in the 3k zone depends how early you want it to come on?

Define early? my personal guess is early to mid 3k, although if you even see my old dyno sheet with the gt3076r the peak power band is only good for about 1500rpm before it drops off
 
if your looking at a gt series a 2871r might be the go, 2530 will run out of puff, thats more designed for a gtr with two of them fitted
 
Want to run around 16-18 psi and be be hitting full boost around the 3000rpm mark. Problem I don't want is exactly that, tiny power band.
 
see above, 2871 will start building boost well from high 2000s(2800ish) fully pully hard (16-18psi) by 36-3800ish
 
go a stroker then use engine torque for early power and then turbo to follow thru to 8500 + redline with no noseover

that would require a rebuild though.

i dont think i've had any motor make 18 psi under 3k

Why not look at a TD06-20G? Bolt on job, will do all that you've mentioned above.
 
Funny you should say that I was thinking of the td06-20G but wasn't sure on spool up or max hp out of that turbo
 
On a 2L I reckon that turbo would still spool quite well and produce more than enough hp for a daily/track driven car.
